The Book of Kells has an illustration in the Gospel of Mark in which there is a tiny serpent with an elegantly intertwined head and body. The sepent was respected for his wisdom and for his apparently miraculous ability to shed his skin and be "reborn". We adapted the minute drawing to make this design and the little serpent was reborn some 1000 years after he first appeared.
A wonderful conversation piece and a design unique to Skye Silver.
16x12mm (5/8" x 1/2"). All sterling silver.
