Last posting dates for Christmas
For non-UK customers. Our last date for Christmas posting to non-UK addresses will be 10th December (up to and including). Please note that this is not a guarantee of delivery - that will be up to the postal services. We will still be happy to take overseas orders as usual after that date but, regrettably, delivery would probably be in January 26.
For UK customers. We will continue to send out orders until 17th. Again, we regret that there is no guarantee of delivery by Christmas. After that, we will happily take orders as usual but they will be dealt with in rotation and may not reach you until January.
Opening times
Our shop at Colbost is now closed for the season and will open again in spring 2026. Our website remains open all year round.
About our jewellery
All our jewellery, including chains, is in sterling silver or 9ct gold where indicated. Enamelled pieces use kiln-fired vitreous enamels. Pendants and necklaces come complete with chains of an appropriate length. All pieces come in a quality presentation box.
Making a purchase
Prices are listed in Pounds Sterling (GBP). Currency conversion is carried out automatically. We accept all major credit and debit cards. All credit card transactions are handled securely using Shopify. You may also order by telephone on 01470 511263 (+44 1470 511263 if calling from abroad).
Shipping and delivery times
Unless noted otherwise, all items are in stock at the time of ordering. We will tell you immediately by email if an item is not in stock and how long it will take to deliver.
We aim to despatch in-stock items on the next working day after your order. All postage is FREE, whether UK or worldwide. We send using a Royal Mail fully tracked service. UK orders are sent by "Tracked 24" which usually takes 1-2 working days after despatch. International orders are sent by "International Tracked" which usually takes 7-10 working days after despatch.
Tariffs on deliveries to the US
Good news for United States customers - deliveries from Skye Silver are continuing as normal.
There is currently much discussion on the matter of tariffs on goods coming into the US and customers are concerned about extra charges they may incur when ordering from the UK.
We just want to assure our US customers that they will NOT have to pay anything extra when ordering from us.
We are using a new service from Royal Mail where we pay the charges for you at this end. We are assured by Royal Mail that you will NOT be charged anything extra on delivery. Nothing will change.
And remember ... you still get 20% off the website price automatically because you do not pay UK VAT ... and postage is FREE!
VAT
Prices for products shipped to the UK include 20% UK VAT. However, for orders delivered outside the UK (e.g. USA, Australia, Canada etc.), VAT is not charged. Note that you don't have to do anything - our website works it all out automatically after you enter the shipping address during checkout.
Returns policy
Every piece of our jewellery is guaranteed unconditionally. If you are not completely satisfied with a purchase or wish to return it for any reason, please let us know and we will be happy to exchange the piece or refund your money immediately, as you wish. Please note that, unless the return is because of a defect in the jewellery, the cost of the return will be your responsibility.
Please note again that something called the Distance Selling Regulations compels us to point out that you are entitled to inform us of your decision to return a purchase to us within 14 days of receiving the goods. However, as our customers know, we are always flexible in accommodating a customer's requirements at a later date if necessary. We merely mention 14 days to satisfy those who believe that prescriptive legalese is a substitute for proper customer relations.
