Butterflies are surprisingly common on Skye in summertime - you just have to be fortunate in where you look. Our little butterfly, with his bright mauve and blue markings - is not classifiable: or maybe he's not yet been discovered.

Skye has a surprisingly wide range of butterflies - not quite as exotic as our make-believe one, admittedly - and these become a feature of the hillside as summer comes on. Our little fantasy butterfly is decked out in brightly coloured enamels and looks very handsome. The little fellow will be a charm for the summer that - we hope - is just around the corner.

12mm (1/2") diameter. All sterling silver. Kiln-fired vitreous enamels.
