The "Luckenbooth" design appeared in Scotland in the 17th Century and the pieces were very popular as love tokens (the intertwined hearts motif being common to many of them) and also as enchantments to ward off witches etc. The witch market isn't what it used to be but Luckenbooths are still widely exchanged as symbols of affection and commitment and, as a gift in affairs of the heart, the Scottish Luckenbooth holds a unique place.
The Luckenbooth featured is of our own design and is available in both pendant and earring versions.
